1. Missing Conversion Tracking

If you don’t have conversion tracking set up, do it first. If you already have conversion tracking, there might be a possibility that bid strategies can’t access the conversion data. Check the status to know if conversion actions are enabled or not.

  • Sign in to AdWords.
  • From the tool icon on the top right, click on “conversions” under “Measurements“.
  • Select the conversion action from the list and check its status.
  • (If you enabled the conversion actions, the status icon will be green. The status icon will be red if you removed them. You can enable them by clicking on “edit” and choosing “enable“. )
  • Click on the name of the conversion action and check the “include in conversion” column.
  • (If AdWords marks the column “yes“, we are good. If it is “no“, change it to “yes“.)

2. Missing App Install Conversion Actions

Bid strategies that target app installation need conversion action like app install conversion that is useful to them. You can set up an app install conversion action for Android and iOS.
